Brain Story Certification Virtual Discussion Group

An opportunity to connect with others throughout the province as we make our way through the Alberta Family Wellness Initiative’s online Brain Story Certification https://www.albertafamilywellness.org/training

Through discussing what we are learning, thinking and questioning; learners will be more likely to retain and gain a deeper understanding of the information presented.

Working on it together will support us to complete the entire certification in the 2020/21 year!

How the Brain Story Certification Virtual Discussion will work:

Approximately every two weeks, we will come to the group ready to discuss the modules indicated:

  1. What did you learn from each module?
  2. What questions did it bring up?
  3. How can you apply it to your work?

You will need to view the Brain Story Modules prior to the discussion group.

We strongly suggest you take notes as you watch and read, as it will support your learning and help with discussion.

Each session will be posted on the AHVNA website, as a separate training, with a separate Zoom link, you will be able to attend as many as you want.

You need to complete all the modules online https://www.albertafamilywellness.org/training to complete the Brain Story Certification and get a certificate directly from Alberta Family Wellness.

You will also receive a certificate from AHVNA indicating how many hours of the discussion group you participated in.

Technology:

We suggest each person have a computer, mic and headphones or earbuds to participate.

It may be possible to use phones or share computers; however, it will be important that each person has the ability to unmute and speak, as this is a discussion group.

Fee:

AHVNA Members: included in membership

Non Members: $5.00 per discussion
