Creating Culturally Safe Home Visitation Practices (within a Family Violence context)
Participants will gain an understanding of how cultural values and assumptions can influence interactions between individuals and groups. Participants will practice using tools to support the development of culturally safe spaces.
The intention is that all of this will support:
A Home Visitation practice that enables open, non-judgmental conversations about family dynamics, in support of family violence prevention and response.
We recommend attendees take AHVNA’s Family Violence Protocol training prior to attending this session.
