The Mental Health Toolbox Series:

Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing

This is the first workshop of the series, focusing on the effects of general mental health challenges and disorders, and the resulting impacts on child development and the caregiver-child relationship. Supportive, responsive, and connective relational strategies and supports will be discussed. These strategies and supports focus on reducing risk and increasing the resilience of caregivers through the power of the professional relationship.

In this session, participants will learn to recognize signs and indicators of mental unwellness. It will walk participants through learning and skill building opportunities, providing participants with simple but powerful tools to support caregivers at risk of developing, or currently experiencing diminished or disordered mental health.

*This training is not equivalent to a mental health first aid course, and is not focused on crisis support/intervention*

Date: Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Time: 9:00 am – 12 pm
