Leading from Strengths

Session 1 – Identifying and using your leadership strengths

  • Using existing assessments reports and/or new ones to identify your strengths
  • Understanding strategies to apply your strengths to everyday leadership
  • Using your strengths in difficult situations

Session 2 – Strength focused supervision meeting template

  • Identifying the strengths of your team members
  • Learning a systematic approach to using those strengths during scheduled 1-1 supervision sessions

Session 3 – Composed and confident team meetings

  • Understanding what will cause you to lose your composure and confidence (It’s not what you think!)
  • 3 really quick ways to boost your confidence and composure
  • 1 habit you need to cultivate to be consistently confident and composed

Session 4 – Communicating with your boss

  • About your development
  • About your concerns
  • About their behaviour

About Facilitator:

Leadership Development Coach Kathy Archer helps women develop confidence, maintain their composure and lead with integrity! She is the author of Mastering Confidence and the host of the Surviving to Thriving podcast.

Kathy is the creator of The Training Library membership site offering ongoing personal and professional development training.

Dates: Wednesdays, May 31, June 7, 14 and 21st (Register by May 16, 2023)

Time: 1:30-3:30 pm

Location: Virtual Zoom (link to be emailed out day before training)

Fee:

Home Visitation spoke: $25.00

AHVNA Member: $75.00

Non-Member: $125.00

Advance registration is required for all participants.

Payment: We accept payment by credit, cash or cheque.

Payments may be dropped off at the office or mailed to the address listed above prior to the workshop date. Receipts will be issued after the workshop.

Virtual Training Expectations:

  • As this is a virtual training, not a webinar, each participant must have access to a camera, mic and internet
  • Requirements to receive a certificate:
    • Attend the entire training, with camera on (infrequent breaks from the camera are permitted)
    • Participate in break out rooms and activities
  • Please contact AHVNA prior to registration if this is an issue and we can help problem solve.

We want you to get as much out of the virtual training as you would an in-person training!

Cancellation Policy:
We encourage you to send a substitute if you are unable to attend the workshop, as there is a NO SHOW charge for all absent registrants (as we will have made arrangements for food, etc). Cancellations need to be made ONE WEEK prior to the workshop date. Registration fees are non-refundable. Should a workshop not reach its minimum registration requirement, it will be cancelled ONE WEEK prior to the workshop commencement date. Registrants will be informed by email or telephone, and registration fees will be refunded.
