Supervisor Session for the Exploring Parent Survey Virtual Workshop Series

Presented by

Alberta Home Visitation Network Association

Supervisor session (register separately) – Wednesday June 1, 2022 from 1:30-4:30

Note: the first hour will be a very brief review of the 5 week series.  If you attend the five week Exploring Parent Survey Follow Up Series, you only need to attend this session from 2:30-4:30 pm

About the Session:

Great Kids Inc Parent training is four days long, aimed at teaching participants to complete an initial assessment tool.  Parent Survey is intended to be conversational and strength-based, while still being a reliable and valid intake tool.

Once teams start using the Parent Survey in practice, you may be looking for ways to better support your team.

Week 6 Supervisor Session- for those who give feedback or supervise:

  • Discuss and Practice reviewing Parent Survey for completeness and accuracy
  • Discuss ways to use Parent Survey to support families and Home Visitors in your program
  • Practice giving feedback to a staff member regarding Parent Survey

Who Should Attend:

  • Only those who have completed Great Kids Inc Parent Survey Training may attend.
  • Anyone supervising or giving feedback for Parent Survey

Virtual Workshop Expectations:

This is a workshop where attendees will practice, participate, and discuss, including the use of break out rooms.

As such each person attending must have the following:

  • Computer with camera, microphone, and internet connection
  • Their copy of the Parent Survey for Community Outreach Manual
  • Their Parent Survey resources folder (optional)
  • Paper and pen for writing
  • Handouts may be provided; we suggest that you print them

We want people to get as much from our virtual workshops as they would from an in-person series
